I’ve a new page to my blog: Vette Shopping. I do a fair amount of online & local purchasing so I thought I’d start posting quick reviews of places I’ve had good or bad experiences with.

From time to time I end up with extra car parts and so I’ll put them for sale in this section near the bottom (just post a reply if you see something you want).  I’ll probably give away a lot of stuff too.

Good Local:

Discount Tire (American Fork)- these guys are top notch, always friendly, offer great deals and provide exceptional service. They are the only place I go for tires.

Gene Harvey Chevrolet (American Fork) – Competent, friendly and a great place to buy OEM parts. My only issue is that they are not always as careful as they could be (I had my car scratched a bit when I took it in for some body work).

Good eBay Sellers: 

powerquest22 – I bought jack pads from them and they quality and price was excellent. Quick shipping too.

willfulone (Custom Corvette Accessories) – They shipped quickly. I had an issue with part of my order and they promptly shipped me a replacement.

pick_a_part  - They were willing to break apart a listing for me which was nice. I’ve used them a few times and the service has always been acceptable. I think sometimes they nick parts when they are pulling them out, but it’s never been too serious.

www-sonicelectronix-com – Bought most of my stereo parts (for the Vette) from them. They have always shipped quickly and their prices are excellent. Once they were out of stock on an item but they allowed me to cancel the order and refunded me quickly.

Good Product Vendors:

Dewitt’s Radiator – Quick shipping and a great product. I accidently punctured my radiator when I was installing it. I sent it in to them and they fixed it and shipped it back to me for free. That’s great service.

Not so Good Product Vendors:

West Coast Corvette – Used to be great, but lately service has been really sub par. I had an order issue (wrong item) and they totally blew me off. I decided to give them one more chance and they ignored my emails (question about items I wanted to buy). They won’t get anymore of my business (and I doubt they care).

 Parts for Sale:

Free ($5 shipping)- AutoMeter Boost gauge. Works fine. Just the gauge. Incandescent lighting.

Free ($5 shipping)- AutoMeter Fuel gauge. Works but seems to show about a pound too much pressure. Just the gauge. Incandescent lighting.
